Dr Adrian Lee

Biography

Adrian Lee is a clinical immunologist and post-doctoral researcher at WIMR. He graduated medicine from the University of Tasmania followed by internship, residency and specialty training in clinical immunology (adult internal medicine) and immunopathology in Hobart, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney. His PhD was completed under A/Prof. Joanne Reed (University of Sydney) in Sjögren’s disease.

Clinical immunology, allergy and immunopathology; Sjögren’s disease

Additional information

Dr Lee’s area of expertise lies in autoantibodies, autoimmunity and Sjögren’s disease which he has had an interest in for over 10 years. He has the unique position to integrate both basic laboratory studies in Sjögren’s disease (e.g., immunology of self-reactive B cells) to clinically- and patient-focused studies. With strong links with consumers and patient research partners nationally and internationally, his consumer-oriented research has fostered numerous clinical and scientific collaborations that ensure his work is relevant and impactful for patients.
