Biography
Dr. Hao-Chun Chang is a biomedical researcher interesting in cancer biology, molecular signaling, and translational disease models. He received his PhD in Pharmacy from the National University of Singapore under the supervision of A/Prof. Victor C. Yu where his doctoral work studies the crosstalk between apoptosis and autophagy signaling. After that, Dr. Chang has built an interdisciplinary research career spanning Singapore, Taiwan and Australia.
Dr. Chang has published some first-author works in Nature Chemical Biology, Cell Reports and Autophagy journals. His research integrates molecular biology, cell signaling, and mouse tumor models to understand how stress response pathways, metabolism, and tissue microenvironments contribute to cancer progression and disease pathogenesis.
Research interests
Dr. Chang’s current research applying integrated approaches including CRISPR library screening, genomics and proteomics studies to understand the liver disease both in vitro and in vivo model.
