Research interests

Richard’s research interests sit at the intersection of ophthalmology, population health, epidemiology and health equity, with a focus on using large scale national data to understand vision and hearing impairment in older Australians.

He is particularly interested in how evidence can guide earlier detection, better access to care and improved services, especially for communities where preventable or treatable vision and hearing conditions remain under-addressed.
