Biography
Professor Jenny Gunton heads the Centre for Diabetes, Obesity and Endocrinology Research (CDOER) at the Westmead Institute for Medical Research (WIMR). She is Chair of Medicine at Westmead Hospital and a clinical endocrinologist/diabetologist.
She received her PhD from the University of Sydney in 2003. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Joslin Diabetes Center and Harvard Medical School in 2005. She returned to Australia to the Garvan Institute and set up the Diabetes and Transcription Factors lab. In 2014, she took on her current role and moved her lab moved to WIMR.
