Biography
Jon Iredell PhD FRACP FRCPA FASM is recent past Director of Infectious Diseases at Westmead Hospital and a senior staff specialist in clinical microbiology at the Institute of Clinical Pathology and Medical Research. He remains on the full-time clinical roster in both Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology and is the primary liaison for Intensive Care at Westmead Hospital, conducting twice weekly multidisciplinary rounds with duty specialists and ICU/ID/Micro and Pharmacy teams in all three general intensive care units and weekly in cardiothoracic ICU for AMS and general ID/ microbiology review. He is an NHMRC Fellow and conjoint Professor of Medicine and Microbiology at the University of Sydney, and Director of the Centre for Infectious Diseases and Microbiology at Westmead Institute for Medical Research.
