Biography
Scott did his PhD in the Dermatology Department at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital where he gained an appreciation for the importance of close collaborations between scientists and clinicians. This led him to the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston – one of the largest cancer hospitals in the world. Scott returned to Australia as a NHMRC CJ-Martin fellow and Cancer Institute NSW Senior Research Fellow to establish his own independent research group. In 2017 Scott joined WIMR where he has been directing his research efforts towards understanding the immunopathogenesis of autoimmune diseases like psoriasis, dermatitis, multiple sclerosis and Crohn’s disease.
