Sohel Julovi

Biography

Dr. Julovi is a Principal Investigator at the Kidney Injury Group, Westmead Institute for Medical Research, and an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney (USyd). He began his research career at the Northern Clinical School, USyd, as a Postdoctoral Research Associate before advancing to Research Fellow. Before his tenure in Australia, he was a Centre of Excellence (COE) Postdoctoral Fellow and a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Fellow at the Graduate School of Medicine, Kyoto University, Japan.

Dr. Julovi’s research focuses on combating chronic diseases. His current research investigates cardiovascular pathology and cartilage-bone metabolism in the context of complications from chronic kidney disease. Over the past four years, his work has secured more than $2.8M in research funding.
