Biography

Dr. Stephen Milne is a leading expert in respiratory and sleep disorders, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic cough, and obstructive sleep apnea. He is currently a respiratory physician at the Westmead Institute for Medical Research, where he conducts groundbreaking research into the genomics of COPD and the identification of new biomarkers. A graduate of the University of Sydney, Dr. Milne completed his postgraduate training at Royal Prince Alfred and Westmead Hospitals.

Dr. Milne also serves as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of British Columbia’s Centre for Heart Lung Innovation and a conjoint senior lecturer at Sydney Medical School. His passion for respiratory physiology drives his commitment to advancing understanding and treatment of COPD, aiming to improve outcomes for patients worldwide.
